Would you ever go as far as to wear a full on hazmat suit if COVID-19 gets really bad out there?

Florida Lawyer, Samuel J. Rabin Jr attended court in full 3M HAZMAT SUIT as covid-19 cases in the state continue to soar!!

He wore the protective garb for a client's sentencing hearing held in Miami federal court as the eye-catching ensemble attracted attention from police who stopped him and sarcastically asked "Is there something we should be worrying about?"

Cases continue to double in the past 2 weeks as more than 206,000 Floridians tested positive and upwards of 3700 have died. Miami-Dade was hit particularly hard with almost a quarter coming from that area

While police gave the approval for him to show up wearing that, one worker said "I don't blame you, man!"

Even the judge presiding over it did not reprimand him for the unorthodox outfit.

Someone said it would have been a nice touch had he worn a tie outside of the suit and while Rabin could have appeared via Zoom, he said he wanted to be in court to comfort his client despite the risk

He said "A sentencing is the most important stage of a person's life that's facing a criminal case and i just think a lawyer has an ethical obligation to be standing there with them"

Would you ever go as far as to wear a hazmat suit if it ever gets bad out there?

Wtf do you think I'd get a hazmat suit from?

It gets too bad, I'm just not going out. I can't drive and have no job. TF would I need to go out for? I didn't go out until they started lightening the lockdown already. Sucked because my spouse is usually so busy it's the only time I get any personal the with them. (And even then they sit and check their RP stuff and pop a reply or two half the time when we get back to the car.)

Since my spouse is an essential worker and my sis got denied employment for supposedly calling off her first day (spoiler she didn't, she had a lung infection and cough and was told if she had a cough to not bother to come in) I'm more worried about them. Sure, unemployment exists, but as bad as it is to find a job around here we'd be fucked and homeless again before anyone could probably get a job. So I don't see them not working.

Does that count as a hazmat suit? It's not fully enclosed, which is the hallmark of a hazmat suit. At any rate, if I had a proper hazmat suit lying around, I'd wear it pretty often regardless of health scares since it's a lot safer and kinda looks neat.

I'd prefer a fully functional power suit with air conditioning and filtration, and the ability to tune out music that I don't like. I'd totally go grocery shopping or working with a thing like that on.
