I'm sick to hell and back of plugging in my headphones, opening something up, no sound, I click the sound thing, it doesn't know my phones are plugged in, I pull em out and plug em back in and it's like DERP ARE THESE HEADPHONES YES THESE ARE HEADPHONES THEY ARE ALWAYS HEADPHONES. And then half the time I still have to also click the sound thing and tell it to actually use them, ugh.

W7 never gave me this problem.

does your computer see them as 2 different audio inputs?

you could try setting your headphones to the default. that way, when they're unlplugged, itll say "i guess nothings there" and switch to your speakers, and then when you plug them in, itll switch to the default faster.

Well technically I have a set but I need a dongle for the PC. In the meantime, I'm plugging in.
