Yeah, it wasn't specifically targeted against Bubba, but it still was a rope tied like a noose. There's tying pull ropes to make them easier to grab and there's tying a pull rope to make it easier to grab while making it also look like a noose.

And that still doesn't take away from the fact that the pull rope was tied like a noose and was the only one NASCAR found in all of their garages to be tied like a noose. They found multiple other pull ropes tied in knots to make them easier to pull, but there was only one that was tied like a noose.

Yes, it was impossible for whoever tied it to know that Bubba would eventually be assigned that stall, but to say "hur dur there wasn't a noose" is factually wrong.

Pretty sure no one in here is saying there was a noose that was targeted at Bubba because he was black.

Everyone is just saying that there was a noose and that the investigation found out that it was the only pull rope in NASCAR that was like that (they found others tied in knots to make the rope easier to pull, but no others were tied like a noose), but that it was tied months ago and whoever did it couldn't have possibly known that Bubba would eventually get assigned that spot.

I mean, that's the whole point of investigations.

A crewmember sees a noose, they tell NASCAR about it, NASCAR alerts the authorities because they have no idea where it came from, the authorities investigation, they release their findings, we read said findings, we move on.

The alt-right can't move on from this topic because you all believe that Bubba did it purposefully or that it was a hoax because your Dear Leader wants to divide the country as much as possible. The only people that are bitching about it still are those on the right because they can't see the nuance in the situation that "yes there was a noose there" and "yes it also wasn't directed at Bubba" because in their head, "if the noose wasn't there for Bubba, then it's fake news!!!! There was no noose!"

the metaphor(or symbol for a better word) being that black people should be treated the way they were back then, like second class citizens. At least thats what I get from nooses that are not intended to be literal but more symbolic.
