She woke up this morning feeling malaise and achy, also nausea but not to the point of throwing up.

I've heard like 10 people say the same shit happened during the onset of it.

She's on blood thinners (bad for corona) and my dad is 64 and he smokes.

I'm fuckin scared. My local hospital's ICU is full. I don't care if I get it, I'll survive but I really don't want to lose my mom or dad. We've all been careful and wearing masks and not going out a lot but we live in dumb ass Alabama where the cops and shit won't even wear a mask.

I'm in a similar boat. My mom and aunt are 66 and 70 respectively, and I work in retail.

It's so stressful.

I hope you and yours pull through well.

Any shortness of breath or difficulty breathing breathing? They could have caught something aside from corona. Still at their age it's best to be cautious regardless.

Yeah but she's already on them and has to have them or she will literally die. She has heart disease with like 4 stents in her aorta.

Anyway thanks guys I'm just freaking out. I had to go to Memphis for work and came back a couple of days ago, but in Memphis people were required to wear a mask. The thought that I brought it back is guilting me because I mean I have a small hacking cough every once and a while but that has been on and off since allergy season. I take 4000 IUs of Vitamin D a day and i get more because I go out in the sun a good bit. I could very well be asymptomatic.

That's pretty fucking scary, man. I'm constantly fighting my parents and grandparents to be careful. I get they're bored and antsy, but it's fucking better than dying.

@DarkRoast Do you know any resources that can help?

Yeah I haven't really seen my parents since March. I've brought them groceries s few times and I had a socially distant beer with my dad for father's day but that's it

My parents are careful as fuck, they only go to the grocery store early as fuck or they do the online ordering. They only get restaurant food through drive through or takeout and they cook most of the time.

The dumbest thing I've probably done was go in a grocery store with maybe 30 people in it (I was 1 of 2 people wearing a mask, dumbass Alabama motherfuckers, and that is saying a lot for me because I was raised here so I want to defend it naturally). But I grabbed a bag of gummy bears and a 12 pack of white claw and was in and out in 5 minutes.

I give black folks a lot of credit through this too. Black people are mostly wearing masks now that there is a spike in the south (of course some teenagers abd young folks don't do it). I bet 1 in 10 white folks wear masks in this town anywhere.

I don't get why they don't require masks here in stores like they did in Memphis

the governor has the decision to make an executive order requiring masks in stores (could only apply to certain county's). though i hope that if your parents did get an unfortunate encounter with the virus they end up surviving (same to anyone else dealing with the virus) it's not something one wants to mess with.

Yeah Shelby Co TN (Memphis) is exempt from governor orders (Almost 1 mil live there). These were orders straight from the Mayor of Memphis and county Commissioner.

If Granny Kay Ivey in Alabama made masks a requirement, my county in Alabama is not big enough to supercede governors orders.

Honestly, nearly all the data we have about COVID-19 is pretty poor. My best advice is to eat healthy and try to stay outside - it appears to have significantly lower transmission outside than inside. And obviously wear a mask / engage in social distancing.

A fan on the face may (or may not) help. There is no medical value but it can make you feel that breathing is easier. Also music.
