The KKK has about as much influence as the Confederacy at this point. I don't see any harm in this protest but it seems largely pointless. Better than highway or similar protests I suppose. They aren't really bugging anyone as far as I can tell. Seems like a waste of a 4th of July though...

They just swapped the hoods for polo shirts and suits and began using more palatable names for themselves such as alt right or they try to pose as normal politicians (eg tom cotton, Stephen Miller), theyre VERY influential

No. What I "know" is that the KKK was at one time pretty large and pretty dangerous and that it is currently basically nothing. Technically it still exists but to say that it's a shell of its former self is putting it mildly. The KKK is a joke. You shouldn't be afraid of jokes, you should laugh at them.

I'm a serious account just as serious as these marches which are happening on both coasts of this country. You can silence me but you'd be silencing a true voice of Black America. Arguably one of ther truest here. These marches and events aren't happening in the vacuum. This sentiment is 100% real as you can see trending on all social media and I'm shedding light as someone who's involved with all of it

These thoughts and opinions are the predominant thoughts and opinions being spread throughout what is called the "New Black Media"

The leader is Grand Master Jay. I don't know about the rest of the members but they probably are too.

He is also one of the originators of Hip Hop music and he ran for Presidency as an independent in 2016

I'm not involved in their movement but I've seen them in the media and support what they stand for

The KKK being a shell of it's of its former self and a laughing stock of an organization is in fact entirely true. The argument of "racism still exists therefore the KKK is still an issue" is just silly. It's why I initially compared it to the Confederacy. Yes, racism still exists, but that doesn't mean old racist organizations are worth protesting in this day and age. I think there's like 3000 KKK members left. 3000 is a country of 329 million. They are nothing. They have no power. They don't matter. It's a waste of time to protest them. But whatever. As long as nobody is hurting anyone then waste all the time they want.
