...probably haven't had to wear them for hours at a time while doing any kind of physical work.

Everyone should wear masks, especially when they're inside or somewhere that social distancing is unreliable, but it's not nothing, either. It takes time to get used to. I can't imagine how someone with claustrophobia would feel with a thicker mask that many companies are providing.

I read the whole topic. Youre making excuses for people who are too inconvenienced to wear a tiny piece of cloth over their face.

Its easy.

When I worked in cementitious grouting I would wear a respirator while pouring epoxy grout for 10 hours a day in 100+F heat.

Yes, it wasn't comfortable.

No, that doesn't matter. Just fucking...deal with it? It's not hard. If you find yourself whining about some other hypothetical person's lung condition that prevents them from wearing a mask, consider how bad it would be if you gave them covid because you didn't wear a mask.

I'll wear a mask. But I can't deny it's unpleasant and anxiety inducing. And for people who have ptsd that involves having their mouth covered, then telling them to just fucking deal with it is disgusting.

Lol, claustrophobe here who is required to wear a mask at work all day, my discomfort is unimportant and irrelevant to the bigger picture. People who think wearing a mask is so uncomfortable that its unbearable and they pretend their rights are being infringed upon are actual fucking babies who need to stop being selfish and get over themselves. OR, stay their asses home and away from everyone else.

Then those people shouldnt be going out in public, as theyre risking others by not wearing a mask and possibly spreading the rona around.

I think it would be better if we tell people you get used to it as opposed to yelling at them off the bat.

I had issues breathing at first too, but I think it was more from me being stressed out about having stuff covering my face.

Pro tip- when wearing a mask, only breathe in and out through your nose. Keep your mouth closed entirely.

Helps you control and regulate air a lot easier than through the mouth.

I work in a warehouse and do a lot of physical work. We have to wear masks. Cloth masks were provided. They were awful, it was horrible to breathe when working. I went and got those thinner paper type masks. They work so much better. So yeah, while it does suck to wear a mask, gotta do what you gotta do.
