The mechanical purpose of going to the Game Corner is to get the Silph Scope, since ghost Marowak seals off Lavender Tower. pjbasis 07/01/20 3:21:39 PM #9:	When I replay the games I pretty much always go for 100% so the answer is just "yes" to most of these. 2. Surge, Erika, Sabrina, Koga (sometimes I do go to Koga first since the game seems to imply this is the "correct" order, but I don't see why anyone would leave Saffron without attempting Sabrina first) 4. I'm not sure I ever used a poke doll though! 6. I think I tend to go with the route that seems to be numbered first, which is the east side, but it also depends on if I feel like grinding out a pokemon good against poison or water. 7. The normal way! I go through seafoam, beat cinnabar, and then complete the circumnavigation by going to Pallet. (You have to fight all those Swimmers anyway!) 8-9. I like to go to the power plant between the 7th and 8th badges so that there's a dungeon in between them, and so I catch the birds in the uno dos tres order. But I accidentally used it on a Machoke in Victory Road. I hadnt saved in awhile and would have lost a ton of progress if I reset. And I typically either have a water pokemon I want to teach surf to, or need surf to get my desired water pokemon (or maybe need the rod on the way to Fuchsia). Did you kick Giovanni/Team Rocket out of Celadon City? I've skipped it before, but usually go through Rocket Game Corner since Giovanni and the spinning mazes are so delightful. 4. Sub-question: Did you use the Poke Doll on the ghost of Marowak? I almost always fight it instead. 5. Did you go through the Diglett Cave/get Flash? I usually skip this. I'm nearly positive I got Flash on my first playthrough, but it really isn't necessary once you've been through Rock Tunnel before. 6. Did you go to Fuschia City via the Snorlax to the west of Celadon City/the bike route or via the Snorlax east of Lavender Town/the piers? Cycling Road, always!
