They had been on Amazon. Despite the fact they buy stuff from Amazon every couple of months, they still completely forget how to use it every single time. So, they put some item in their basket, and accidentally select a free Amazon Prime membership. They buy the item in question. They cotton on they've now signed up for Amazon Prime. This boomer then goes into complete meltdown, because they think they're gonna be paying 9 pounds a month for the next year.

The person in question is a millionnaire. They honestly could not cope with paying, ultimately, about 120 pounds over the course of a year. They were practically in tears.

How do you feel about all of this?

It did. In the last hour.

Boomers have pretty low tolerance for minor problems, don't they?

They probably became a millionaire in the first place because they were very conscious of their money.

If I had such a family member they would be beaten mercilessly until they stopped acting like a child.

I already dont tolerate old people and Im not about to put up with one acting like a whiny manchild.

They became a millionaire because they have a very successful ex-husband, and managed to blag a bunch of money off him over the years. But yeah, they're also cheap.

Sounds like a pretty scathing indictment on how generational wealth and affluensic inbreeding inbreeding produce overconfident incompetents placed at the top by the first established, who mistake winning at gambling on markets and businesses with comparatively unlimited funds and other people as subject matter experts commodified for their use, who do all the actual work required to succeed has given them a false and greatly misrelrepresentative of actual ability sense of self confidence and accomplishment, making them feel entitled to success at whatever they do. And as such cant handle when failure at simple common tasks temporarily poke a hole in their hit air balloon letting inflated ego out and reality in.

Do they not understand they can immediately cancel their subscription? Yeah they'll pay for this month and have it this month, but that's it.

As someone who speaks with boomers on an almost daily basis I 100% unironically believe you, TC. They are the worst.

Star wars is a big deal and it's fun to be passionate about things.

Crying about a product you whine about day and night that you will never stop using(or in this case watching) is not being passionate.

There are healthy ways to being even an upset fan. It's like if you like a sports team but the new management sucks and so you like ranting about it.

My wife isn't a boomer yet installing something as simple as flash breaks her mind despite the fact I've told her how too do it soooo many times and she's seen me do it just as many. On screen instructions are hard.
