Hard to say for sure. Confirmed cases in the US are way up, but it's harder to track data on hospitalizations. Deaths are still trending downward, and haven't yet turned up, but it takes time.
It's probably more dangerous now in southern states, and less dangerous in the NYC area. Possibly less dangerous in northern states too, where people are spending more time outside. --- I am the Cheese! I am the best character on the show! I'd say yes, if only because a shitload of people are simply bored/annoyed with being shut in and are just going full YOLO mode now. Back in April most people were still being very cautious when they went out.

Why are we looking at deaths first? This is the most medieval thing to even consider. Massive high death counts were inflated by lower quality of life and living standards back then.
