Girl preference?

I play as girls if the main story mode includes a female playable. This also includes if there are a couple of characters you choose at the beginning, because I like to go through as every character.

I usually don't make a female character in a character creator though.

I would never choose a girl if theres a guy option, but it doesnt matter to me if theres a girl option or if people pick that.

Think the only game Ive played though, besides street fighter and mortal kombat or Mario games, has been Gta V and I had or think I still have a female character just to store cars to sell.

I have no problem playing as a girl (seriously, people do?). That being said I don't usually make a girl if I have to create my own character. Mainly because I try to make it look as close to myself as possible.

Here is how I look at it. If I can create a character, I typically like to create someone that looks like to me to make me feel more immersed into the world. It's really that simple. If I can't create a character? I don't care at all what they look like. They can be any race or gender as long as I enjoy the game. If you want to create a female character as a male then that's fine too. It's just preference. Who really cares? Lmao

Basically exactly this. And when there are differences with characters going through the game I have no problem playing a female character if I prefer the way they play. Like Jill and Claire in RE 1+2, the sirens in borderlands, etc.

For non story games that let's you pick (e.g. Monster Hunter), girl. For rpgs, dude. For fighters, I only just noticed I never pick girls.

The worst is when they have every hairdo possible except for your very basic hairdo. Balding? Mohawk? Excessive spray to shape it like the Statue of Liberty? Check, check, check. Businessman's cut? GTFO normie.

I dont mind either but I prefer to play as a girl character and always pick that if its an option. I think it started with Fable II which was a game I was really excited about after loving the first one, but then I started playing it and couldnt get into it. However, I later went back to it and started a new character, choosing to be female this time to shake things up, and for whatever reason I ended up having a blast with the game after that.

3 of the last 4 games i've played had female leads.

if it's character creator, i'll make the coolest character i can. sometimes it's a girl, sometimes it's a guy. i can't ever really make myself, though, since black/mixed hair options and faces are never well done.
