I have been wearing a mask regardless of ordinances. My father has a severe case of COPD with just around 10% lung function. He is on oxygen 24/7. For his sake, I wear the mask.

When it comes to my place of work, I would get shamed daily for wearing a mask, called a sheep, belittled by the rest of my coworkers, except for one. He noticed my mask and within a day, he too started wearing one. I explained to him my fathers condition and he was with it immediately.

Am I a sheep for being concerned for my fathers health and wearing a mask? I've read contradictory articles about pros and cons of wearing masks - however I don't want to take chances. We stopped physically going into grocery stores and do curbside pick-up. We don't order take-out anymore either.

All this being said, we take all the precautions we can to be as safe and sanitary as possible(in regards to our home) but if everyone at work is acting like they aren't concerned am I just delaying the inevitable? This is literally the only place where people aren't following ordinance so it is my greatest concern having to come in day in and day out with what I am going to call selfish individuals.

If we're within 6 feet of each other or indoors then mask is required/strongly encouraged.

But for the dining hall, we have to wear masks. In stores on post we have to wear masks.

The problem is they told Americans that a mask helps protect others. As you know, Americans are only out for themselves.

Some do and some don't, including myself.

Though other jobs and tasks do require a mask regardless.

Associates are required unless they have specific health problems and/or other arbitary shit.

We've got signs at our entrances strongly recommending customers wear them, but of course people here are stubborn as fuck, so there's a mix of people wearing and not wearing.

I mean it's a mill plant with good ole boys, tough guys, guys who grew up on a farm or some ghetto, and a few truckers.

I always liked ravine/canyon levels, then the lightning added a cool challenge for the dogfight, and there was even a boss to boot! Great level.

I work at a smaller machine shop. We've got these types of people at work. Hell, the owner is a good ole boy himself and he has been riding everyones ass about wearing the mask. Laid into two people yesterday for walking around the shop maskless. Caught me off guard because he has been a covid-denier since the beginning.
