Let's say that you're told to self quarantine after testing positive for covid. However, you need to go food shopping, so you decide to go to the grocery store after your visit to the doctor. Is this too dangerous? Can you get people around you infected even with a mask and gloves on?

I don't really know the danger factor, but if I knew I had it, I would just use one of those grocery delivery services to be on the safe side.

Almost every major grocer offers some sort of pickup service where you dont even have to interact with people. Either do that or delivery

If you take the proper precautions (disinfecting things you touch, using a mask, not touching your face, wearing a mask, socially distancing) then the risk isn't so high.
