I didn't think the attachments were very well balanced. I mean, you had the hover nosel, the turbo nosel, and the rocket nosel, and the hover nosel was much more useful than the others. I mean, I used the hover nosel all the time.

The levels where you didnt have the FLUDD were by far the best. They were like precursors to galaxy

There's a lot of unrefined gameplay in Sunshine, like the watermelon rolling, pachinko, sandbird clipping, camera issues in levels like the hotel or under that island, the rollercoaster, just to name a few. I don't hate Sunshine but a remaster wouldn't be worth a purchase to me without gameplay tweaks.

Taking the limits off player freedom and creativity can make for excellent gameplay when its something like this. Dunkeys recent vid about Sunshine talks about the balancing a bit.

Super Mario 64 IS babby's first game. The vast majority of the platforming is extremely simple because people couldn't handle moving in 3d environments back then.

I really didnt like F.L.U.D.D. Felt awkward to control and slowed down platforming. That said, it was still Mario so it was still fun (just not as fun as any of the others), so Id welcome a remaster. Id like Galaxy more though.
