You'd basically be watching the world fall apart in real time from the cordyceps infection.

You'd play as Joel, Tess, Bill, and Tommy. You'd find out why Bill owed Joel a favor in LoU1, why Tommy left Joel to do his own thing, and Joel/Tess' relationship. Just my idea I'm throwing out there.

Eh, it'd be nice to see Tommy, Bill and Tess get some more screen time but they should give us some new characters. It would be interesting to see the world as the apocalypse occurs for once.

Meh, I'd rather they just wait until they have a strong new story idea rather than fill in a bunch of bull shit that's more interesting as wiki facts than an actual story, like a lot of prequels end up being.

We already know why Tommy left Joel. Both of them ambushed unsuspecting survivors, killed them, and them stole their stuff. This eventually got to be too much for Tommy who told Joel if he ever saw him again he'd kill him, then left to go join the Fireflies. Some time later Tommy left the Fireflies to live a "normal" life in Jackson.

I won't lie I'm not a fan of prequels. As much as I enjoyed RDR2 I could not care less about the plot knowing exactly how it all ends
