The thing that bugs me: wasn't this game confirmed to be almost entirely first person? What's the point of customizing a character?

There's been a few games that did this in recent years (Far Cry 5 comes to mind) and tbqh it does help me identify more with the character. Now I'll be able to relate to their genitals

There is has been talk that Western Games get a free pass while Eastern Games get the Censorship slap.

and honestly I do see the hypocrisy; I'm confused as to why when games like RDR, GTA, TLOU2, and this game are getting a free pass through the ESRB, but the Japanese Games were a big no no whenever they depicted such things.

Honestly if I were a Japanese developer I'd stop bothering with the fucking ESRB and PEGI at this point. Just make the game multilingual and release an "Asia" version and make sure it's easy to find on Amazon.

Because the characters in Japanese games look underage.

When a Western game gets a pass for portraying 14-year-olds sexually, then you might have a case for bias.

I'm aware of that terrible niche genre which shall not be named, but not every Eastern game had those kind of characters; games like Xenogears (the character Elly) is ok though they still censored those scenes, and most of the characters from Devil May Cry though they still tried to censor them in the recent game.

There is also the case of some Dead or Alive characters and their spinoffs.

Also sometimes Nami from One piece in video game format was affected though not often.
