What I mean is do you think its possible to do what Hammond and his scientists and engineers did like in the movie to bring back Dinosaurs to life?

Yes, but not Jurassic World.

Gene manipulation? Sure, it's possible. That level of sophistication is going to be far behind what we'll have for quite some time, though.

There are plenty of benefits from doing this... just like there are plenty of potentially side-effects and consequences.

I think its inevitable, even if they dont find dino DNA with AI and computers they will probably be able to figure it out eventually

If you have seen the movies or read the books you know why this is a bad idea, instead of thinking if they could the scientists should have thought if they should.

no. DNA decays too quickly. We'd have to sequence the DNA basically from scratch, and then create the physical molecule. while both those things are probably theoretically possible, it seems pretty unlikely. Also, the climate is different enough that I don't know if they'd be able to survive very long, anyway.

Michael Crichton seems to really hate genetic science. The Jurassic Park books are at least a little subtle about it, but some of his other work is extremely blatant. If you read his book Next its practically propaganda.

It's possible. But everyone will be disapointed as hell by the result. Reality never measures up to fiction.

It's really not. Even within the context of the novels & films, human sabotage was needed to make shit go awry. Then most of the shit that went bad could have gone bad if it had happened in a normal zoo since animals running wild are dangerous regardless. The fact that so few controls were in place magnified the problem
