So I was exposed to the sub first. My brother bought up to the end of the frieza saga on vhs. After that we bought the rest of Z and GT plus the movies. It always got up to the 2nd to last episode of the Frieza saga before they started back at Raditz again. It was the episode where level 3 Freeza wrecks Piccolo. Thought nothing special of it. The next day, my neighbor in the dorm said they were gonna watch DBZ. I asked what it was, so I went to their room and was like Oh, its that show I was watching yesterday. I got hooked on it soon afterwards. Me and 2 friends chipped in together to buy a buncha CDs on eBay with all of the episodes in Japanese (in Realplayer) to see the rest of the show. Weird part of the story... whenever theyd show Bulma, I kept commenting on how Id seen her before, but had no idea where. Took a few days to realize that she was in a shitty NES game Id had as a kid...
