Not much is known--well, enough is known to appear that its bullshit--but it appears that he was banned from Twitch, because he cheated on his wife.

I dont personally like ''Geeks & Gamers'' on YT, i think Jeremy is pretty annoying...but he has the scoop, and puts a post up on the screen from a twitch post, made by someone in their HR department.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u1RaqWqGp1M

Fast forward to 5:05 for the details.

All i can say about this personally, is that i cant believe how ridiculous these companies and corporations are getting nowadays. Banning this guy and cutting his revenue stream because he had sexual relations with someone outside of his marriage is absolutely none of their fucking business, and i hope hes able to take legal action over this. Someone (everyone) needs to fucking stand up to these companies that do this shit to their users/customers/employees/etc. because where do we draw the fucking line? Sexual assault, or criminal activity is another thing altogether, but even then--there used to be a point in time that if you were arrested, your employer didnt stick their nose all up your ass unless it impacted your performance/attendance at work. Companies constantly trying to out-virtue signal their competitors by assuming the moral high-ground, and all it does is hurt their employers, and taint their public image.

If this is truly as simple as him committing adultery and thats why hes banned (like the twitch employee states in the post in the video above), and its not for something serious, like sexual assault or whatever, then this is legitimately outrageous. Dont even get me started on the amount of female streamers that get away with murder on that platform, and few and far between ever face any repercussions.

I don't really give a shit about this guy, but from what I hear basically all his sponsors/partners dropped him at the same time. There's clearly something going on that hasn't been said yet.

Knowing Gamers(tm) though he'll probably still be getting defended even if it turns out he murdered someone or something though

[LFAQs-redacted-quote]

Yeah, i know it hasnt officially been stated. If you go to 5:05 in the video, there appears to be a post from someone at Twitch HR, and since then, the post has been removed. But it seems to imply that the woman was going to leverage it in someway shape or form (maybe?)...she asked for more money for her deal, they declined, and she supposedly is going to come out about him cheating on his wife with her, and they perma-banned him in preparation of her releasing this info.

So, again, maybe the info she is going to release has to do with sexual assault allegations. It certainly doesnt seem that way if the post by the HR employee holds any weight. But who knows.

There has been a flood of women throwing allegations out there at people over the last week, and while the first wave was most likely genuine, it seems there may be an ulterior motive for some, if not many of the women coming forth with their allegations now, as almost every famale streamer/content creator that has posed allegations against someone, has gained a massive spike in views/followers/subscribers. So, there definitely IS incentive for women to bring up old shit.

If it really is just as simple as he banged this girl, and shes going to put him on blast, thats dumb as fuck of a reason to be banned.

Its honestly dumb as fuck to be banned, or fired, or anything just because of an allegation. Apparently innocent until proven guilty only applies to certain situations/circumstances i guess.

If im simping, im simping for anti-cancel culture. Its cancerous.

Again, like i said--it very well may be some sort of sexual allegation. I cant see them banning anyone for adultery, but in todays political social climate, and with how prevalent and out of control cancel culture is getting, i legit wouldnt be surprised.

Lol, ok...whatever that means. I have no idea who you are, so theres no way you know who i am either. He's banned. Thats 100% a fact, and thats what the topic title says. I conceded not much is known, and in a second post acknowledged it may have to do with sexual allegations. With what little is known, i took this as an opportunity to shit on cancel culture in general, because...well...fuck cancel(cancer)-culture.

Yes, those certain situations being "a courtroom".

The phrase in the context of a accusation doesn't hold any water and if anything, is simply insulting to many. If I killed my neighbor, that doesn't mean I'm innocent just because nobody could prove it. Not every real accusation can be proven, which is why they take to twitter for mob justice after the Police tell them as much.

Now, that's not to say you should assume the person is guilty either. Definitively take either stance is downright silly, unless you have hard proof. Measuring the likelihood of each is human nature, and in many cases, is more than enough for a company to decide if they want to continue a partnership with said individual, especially if they feel it's very likely true/false.

If you wish to really stick to the stance of "Nope, not going to believe any accusation without 100% proof", you can do so, as is your right, but don't expect others to. There comes a point where many realize that there may not be proof of something someone is guilty of.

Partner in the context of twitch partners aren't employees. An employee of twitch would be someone who writes the code for twitch.tv in the first place or something similar.

Well said. I agree with the notion that just because you cant prove someone is guilty, doesnt mean they are innocentyoure absolutely right.

The broader problem here, is that people are having their jobs taken away, and being socially shunned all across the board, with no nuance. Someone who actually rapes someone, is facing the same social punishments as someone who hits on a woman, thus making her feel uncomfortable. Rape accusations IMO are completely differentand I tend to lean towards mostly believing the accuser. A situation like with Angry Joe however (unless more info has come to lightthe womans account of things IMO describe a situation where he was maybe led to believe she was interested, and never said otherwise until he initiated an offer for sex) shouldnt be treated as if he sexually assaulted someone. Twitter mobs though treat all these situations identically, which hurts the overall cause of #metoo IMO.

Having a legally binding contract doesn't necessarily mean you're an employee, though. I believe twitch streamers use 1099 forms to file they're taxes like they're contractors. If they were formal employees, they would use W2 forms received from twitch.

Why would he be looking left and right in a panic if it was just his wife that walked in the room? That doesn't make sense in the slightest. It's more plausible, imo, that his wife walked in and tried to get his attention about what was about to go down when he put up his hand to suggest that she wait until he was done.
