I nearly died in a high speed car crash when I was 18.

I took my eyes off the road for a second to look at my friend in the passengers seat and suddenly when I looked back at the road the cars in front of me were at a dead stop on the highway I and had to fling my wheel to swerve out of the way into the other lane and frantically tried to keep control of my car and JUST got it stable without losing control and flipping and/or crashing and dying.

If I had looked forward a nano second later OR if there was a car in the lane next to me OR if I lost control of my car, id be dead.

I was about to get in a head on at 70 mph when i was 18, but the car flipped and rolled out of the way right before it happened.

That wasnt the most traumatic though. My Ex's dog died on the monday of finals week then her mother killed herself and then everything fell apart.

I guess just that my grandparents all pretty much died within 2-3 years of each other

this is a rough one. I have a lot of small traumatic things. Probably the worst overall is living far away from my school and getting home late to my mentally ill grandmother having tantrums growing up. She'd be there when I left and when I got home. The basement was my only relief because she eventually stopped coming downstairs.

There are worse individual experiences in my life but that was a stage setter for a lot of loneliness and weird habits.

I almost drowned when I was 21 in a river in Japan. It would have been a lot worse of I got pulled from a side beach into the main current. I don't feel traumatized by that at all, though.

Easily the loss of my father. That was the worst day of my entire life, and I went down like a sack of potatoes. I'm thankful I have a strong support system, otherwise that could have been the end of me.

I lost four friends in a car accident a couple years after high school.

Probably back when I was 5 being told by my doctor that I wouldn't live past 18.

Amongst more personal stuff, saw a dead body when I was a kid, nearly drowned once.

An ex-girlfriend tried to murder me.
