@Annihilated u literally can't comfortably say this

Trump called this a hoax until the end of March when it was too late

Any sane president wouldve locked us down in January and we would've been fine by the end of March

If so, this is his opportunity to either apologize or self-destruct.

Mhm. I'm not that naive. It's always best when trolls dunk on themselves.

It's almost like having coherent, intelligent, science based reactions to a crisis leads to a better outcome. Elections have consequences.

has to do with how cases are reported. Things dont get reported as much on weekends because its the weekend, those numbers are added in during the week

The idea that only deaths matter is misguided; it's not like it's just a walk in the park for everyone who survives. Some never experience symptoms, sure, but some are hit pretty hard and in the hospital for weeks. Hospitalizations are trending upwards.

No.

High risk individuals should be very cautious.

The 99%+ that have virtually no threat of serious harm from covid should be considerate and aware of those individuals at risk but we should be living our normal lives.

My oldest son is EXTREMELY allergic to peanuts. He could legitimately die if he ingested enough peanut protein (which isn't much at all).

Should I expect my entire city to ban peanuts?
Or should we lock him in a room and only go in to give him peanut free meals?

That's crazy... we all have to live our lives. It's going to be harder for some than others.

No. Expecting mid-small size busineses to shut for a year and return as if nothing happened is nonsense of the highest caliber. Countless people within just a few months are jobless, numerous busineses have shutdown permanently, and late payments and forecloser are at record highs.

And anyone thinking the goverment has their backs are in for a rude awakening post election......

Here's the thing: unemployment shot up much higher in the US than in countries like the UK or Germany. This is in part a reflection of how much more widespread coronavirus became here than there, but also it's a product of our policy response. Shutting down didn't have to mean 8-hour lines for unemployment benefits.
