Corn is a non-digestible biproduct and has no nutritional value to them, it's just a filler. A dry cat food kibble is definitely fine to give them, cheap granola bar chunks, bologna, hell even breakfast cereal. Apples are fine if they eat them, but they tend to be more like dogs and like fragrant stinky stuff.

Just a quick power washing and weatherproof staining will freshen it up and give you another 5+ years without rot and breakdown. It's worth it in the long run.

Yeah.. I need to get on that but I think I'm depressed. Cant make myself care about anything I need to be doing

I also get possums and a grey fox coming up on my porch and eating cat food

Lol. They aren't very huggie. I can kinda get a pet in here and there while they eat but they are otherwise pretty guarded

They get along ok with the possums and my cats though

I have 2 Possums that sometimes live in my roof and sometimes my neighbours roofs.

No idea what they eat though.

Possums kill my chickens so I usually take them out when I see them. They are immune to venomous snake venom, and eat venomous snakes, and they also eat a ton of ticks. If they didn't want to murder my livestock for the eggs, i'd keep them around. They are very beneficial.

I farm part-time and live on a good bit of land, I have a couple dozen free range chickens and unfortunately predators can be an ongoing issue. They can devastate a chicken house overnight, not as bad as something like a coyote though.
