I sort of do because I grew up with nothing except other boys. I have no idea what it's like to be in a family with a girl.

Every parent I know says that girls are more difficult to raise. Even the ones where it clearly looks like a boy is the problem child.

Still, I kind of hope my next child is a girl.

No, but the fact that you had to ask raised suspicion.

I wouldn't look too much into it, at least without some particular red flags.

I mean, you could be a boy who grew up rowdy, but with a mild mannered sister, and come to think "boy, boys sure are terrible compared to girls"

I'd like a daughter, but ideally only after a son, for that additional big brother protection layer.

They are a lot tougher than girls in those early years. The teenage years though, oh boy...

I have a feeling that if Id been blessed with a daughter Id be having a lot more stress down the road.

Is it weird for a woman to only want a son? A man to only want a son? A woman to only want a daughter?

When my brothers were little they took my sisters favorite doll, tied a rope around its neck, and then whipped it around in a circle in front of her until its body separated from its head.

I actually think this is a common psychological thing among guys wanting to have daughters. There's something to this for sure.

My mom never wanted another child because she was afraid they wouldn't be like me and would be a little terror, lol
