loved - verb, to feel love toward
beloved - noun, one who is loved

Not really. For starters, beloved can be used as a noun whereas I'm pretty sure loved can't. Plus if you tried to interchange them as an adjective, it would sound really funny. Plus loved is often used as a verb whereas beloved isn't.

You can love a delightful soup or sandwich, but it's a different kind of love than a person. I would hope you aren't calling a BLT your beloved, for instance.
