...wants to be a voice for conservatives, who is not quite as conservative as Jordan Peterson, but possibly wants to be a magnet to these conservatives and change their minds gradually. Either way he seems to be slightly conservative with the way he was talking about George Floyd's death on JRE, and it not necessarily being a murder. He also said he's against reparations, which is not unreasonable, but why say it? Idk. Anyway, the last thing he said about an hour into the podcast that made me shut it off, was when he seemed to have a dissenting opinion to Rogan's, that autopsy examiners are more useful than a court case and jury. As a biologist himself, Weinstein should have agreed with Rogan, and I'm sure he's well aware of the failure of regular people to assess a case fairly.
