they lied at the end there when asked if they ran his ID. they took his ID but they didn't do anything with it before Officer Fatass did that tackle. if they had checked his records in the system they would have known he wasn't the guy.

That argument doesn't even work since most pilots don't crash intentionally and regardless of what happens, there's still a rigorous investigation based on international aviation standards that literally lead to improvements in flight safety.

Cops get two weeks paid leave if they happen to shoot someone by mistake. Their department will investigate itself and find no wrongdoing lmao

So much wrong with the cops actions in this video

-The guy complied and handed over his ID and still got body slammed for no reason. They didnt even check his ID until well after the fact
-The cop who body slammed him never even made his presence known. Just snuck up behind him and immediately just resorted to extreme violence and apparently broke the mans arm. There was zero attempt made at de-escalation
-The idiot cops gave commands that are impossible to comply with. You cant put your hands behind your back when someone is bear hugging you
-Then after the arm breaking body slam, the idiot cop is like just relax!. No you idiot. Its not easy to relax when your bones are broken
-When they realized that they had the wrong guy, they were desperately looking for a reason to justify what just happened which is why they were mad when his background check came back clean
-Even if they did have a the right guy, all of this was a response to a panhandling call. They truly believe this is the best way to handle a person begging for money
-Despite all this clear video evidence, the department still found them at no fault. Despicable

what pisses me off is there wasn't even any escalation. the guy was annoyed but he wasn't really resisting or anything. he was just trying to figure out why the cops were talking to him. there was ZERO reason to suddenly tackle him
