He became a hero and bang Lois Lane on top of defeating Soviet Superman. In Dark Apocolips his role as triple agent for dark sides and suicude squats giving Lois Lane the intel they need to defeed Darkseid and Evil Batman on chair!

He has been a hero in the comics many times. even right now maybe. possibly not but maybe. I haven't checked in on the current DC comics in some time, but last time I did, he was literally a member of the Justice League. He keeps going back and force between hero and villain. he has the potential to be a great hero but his jealousy and ego about Superman always messes him up.
