Principal Tramp, Deborah Morse-Cunningham, who is an employee at New Dorp High School in Staten Island and makes 130,000 smackers a year is coming under fire as Mayor Bill De Blasio is disturbed by her post where she made a post on "What is Privilege" and then made racial stereotypes against people of colour!!

She is still working there despite that lengthy comment she made which has since been deleted, along with her facebook after someone blew the whistle on her

In one of the lines it says "Privilege is wearing $200 sneakers when you've never had a job. Privilege is wearing $300 Beats headphones while living on public assistance. Privilege is living in public subsidized housing where you don't have a water bill, where rising property taxes and rents and energy costs have absolutely no effect on the amount of food you can put on your table"

She made the remarks referencing that people on public assistance use their money on expensive clothing and electronics while "cheating" the system

Her status was spotted by a parent at the school who then started a change.org petition to have her fired as it read "Deborah Morse-Cunningham, a longtime educator and assistant principal at New Dorp High School on the South Shore of Staten Island and has decided to use her platform and social media presence to post anti-black messaging during this time. She recently posted a rant to her public fb page, detailing vicious stereotypes and racial profiling directed at the black community.As someone responsible for the tutelage of our month, this is especially troubling and problematic rhetoric to say the least"

The petition now has amassed 9900 signatures as the petition states it leads them to question what kind of practices she's instilledin the culture of the school.

The school has a 49% minority enrollment with nearly 60% of students in ECONOMICALLY DAMAGED households.

The school made a statement that they stand against racism and schools must be safe and inclusive and said they are investigating on the teacher

Mayor Bill De Blasio said he hasn't seen the post but is "very concerned" and said no one in a position of authority should use racialy insensitive language especially from an educator

Her status as a teacher has not yet been determined but it's expected she's getting the hook.

Yes, especially if they are physically able, but would rather abuse the system and leach off those precious resources from the people who REALLY need them.

There's definitely abuse with the welfare system, but race definitely doesn't really play a factor there. There are trashy people of all races.

More black people and minorities would have more money to invest in their children's education, future and communities if they weren't systematically oppressed for decades to hundreds of years. Also, there are tons of people on public assistance and welfare of all ethnicities. Hell there was a food give away at the local Salvation Army in my town today for those who actually need the assistance and in the line there were a lot of caucasians driving expensive, newer vehicles taking advantage. This blaming of a single ethnic demographic for problems they wouldn't even have as badly if they got a fair shake from the start is absolutely sickening.

Seeing all the trashy rednecks in SC pulling up in their brand new 50k plus ford/chevy trucks to get their welfare checks made me feel a certain way.

Just where you live you get different stereotypes for those sorts of people.

Agreed. They don't take because they need, they take because it's there and they stand to gain and / or mitigate losses from it and rob others who legitimately needed that opportunity. Worst of the worst.
