Well clearly you didn't play the game because this game probably has more playable levels than the first game and the gameplay is way more solid.. in comparison to the first game. Otherwise yeah, if you don't like cinematic games this one won't do anything to change your mind.

Kingdom Hearts 3 is probably one of the few games where getting through a cutscene was hard for how awkward and terrible the dialogue was... and how long and drawn out the majority of it was.

i think this 20 hours is a bare minimum btw

been playing on hard, exploring areas for supplies and collectibles, and Im 6 hours in and approximately 20% done based on how many chapters the game has

I mean, it is a cinematic game. Just like someone else said, it's like complaining fortnite has shitty story, TLOU2 at least knows what it is. If you hate cinematic games, this game won't do anything to change your mind about them.

Just looked at my file, and it took me about 26 hours to beat the game. This is without collecting even half of the collectibles, and playing the game on the second to hardest difficulty.

So yeah, Im guessing TC is referencing the easiest difficulty, and just running through the story, no exploring or anything

Well, when you play them it's honestly not that bad. It isn't one of those games where you walk like five feet and another 5-10 minute cutscene plays like Metal Gear Solid (most of the series) or some RPGs that dump their plot in the last few hours of the game (looking at you, Xeno games).
