oh. that is fucked up. And I had no idea his parents didn't know he was gay. I guess I just assumed.... but anyway, that makes me want to give up for good on game grumps. that's not cool

after reading that link it almost sounds like part of the reason Ding Dong and Julian left OneyPlays was cause of this shit. that makes me mad.

dd and julian left because they had to move out of the state. they were having a lot of really bad money troubles around that time and ding dong for awhile was constantly having to do streams to try to get donations so they could pay rent.

lets plays definitely were never their priority though, they always wanted to make games. it just so happened they were really really good at lping

I agree with this. GG was never really funny, and the only time their videos were ever really any good were the early, early ones, like right around when the channel first went up, where they'd talk more about game design than just cracking jokes constantly.

JonTron was better years ago. Zoo Race and Are You Afraid of the Dark still hold up. And other videos from around that era. He doesn't put the same energy or passion into making videos now.

His GOOP videos were pretty solid and hilarious... mostly because the thing he's goofing on is so out of this world bat shit crazy. I haven't seen his newest videos, but yeah I'll compare him to AVGN in that the video quality certainly has gotten downhills.
