No. Even if I get pissed off it never comes out of my mouth because it isn't used. I tell my friends and coworkers it's not something I call my brother or friend, it isn't something I call myself. If they call me that after I've explained it I'll consider it a sign of disrespect and we can go outside and figure out what the problem is.

You know technically thats racist right? Saying people aren't allowed to say words based on the color of their skin and the whole "thats our word you can't use it."

For the record, I dont think anyone of any race or any skin color should use that word or the slang version of it. Ever.

for one, I didn't say people aren't allowed to say it, or anything else; I just said that I wouldn't be cool with it, depending on who said it.

and I disagree that it's racist - people feel differently about how people engage them, and how they engage them by, depending on the speaker.

But thats the same arguement used with doing whatever while black. Its ok for a white person to walk down the street, drive, BBQ, whatever but since its a black person let's call the cops since it bothers some people. You are doing the same thing just switching roles. It doesn't bother you if black people do it but if a white person says the same thing then you have an issue with it. I'm aware what I am playing devil's advocate for here, I just thought it should be mentioned. The best thing to do would be to tell anyone who uses it that it's not cool and we should let the word die off and fade away.

lol, it's not the same thing, at all.

if a black person, for example, wants to use the N-Word, they do so knowing that the full weight of it rests on them.

by that I mean, used negatively, they know it insults and demeans them, and "repurposing" it is a means of trying to try to change its meaning, but the rotten foundation is still there.

if a white person uses it, on the other hand, they don't have to take that kinda responsibility or experience any of its negative meaning.
