The ESRB is a load of shit for rating this "M". Hell, there should be MORE games rated "Adults-Only". Twitch refuses any game with an AO rating to be streamed.

The ESRB would never give a game made by a major publisher an AO rating (unless they were okay with it) since many stores refuse to stock AO games and it would reduce sales as a result.

The ESRB can't just screw over a major publisher because it's funded by them. The publishers are the ESRB's bosses.

So you're saying more games should be banned? That's a very odd take. The last game I can recall that got flat out banned over here was Manhunt 2 and even that didn't deserve it. I feel you and the TC probably haven't even played the game. It's just like the first in terms of gore and certainly doesn't need a AO rating or banning from anywhere.

I don't give a shit about any of the scenes themselves (and if anything, what I've heard of the brutal depiction of killing a dog bothers me way more than some sex scene), but the utter hypocrisy of Twitch and Sony bothers me a whole hell of a lot. Allowing that stuff in this game, but far more tame content in M-rated games from smaller studios from one specific country get banned/censored? Fuck right off!

Sony: M-rated games can be considered to be for mature audiences only for me, but not for thee!

Twitch allows nudity as long as it's not the focus of the game or the stream. They absolutely show favoritism towards both devs and streamers they want to keep happy, but this isn't a particularly egregious example.

Right. It just ignores the rating given and arbitrarily claims that one M-rated game can't be allowed on its console w/o heavy, hilariously ridiculous edits in order to "protect the children" while another M-rated game is allowed no problem.

Likelihood of incurring Sony's wrath being directly proportional to how small your studio is and whether or not it's based in Japan.

I too felt very upset that I couldn't see Trish and Lady nude in Devil May Cry 5 due to censorship. I feel all games should be censored due to this!
