Maybe you're a staunch conservative and the movie is about how socialist economic practices would make everything better for every one. Maybe you're a liberal in favor of heavy gun control and the movie is about a vigilante using guns to "protect what he loves" (i.e. kill all the bad guys with no mercy and no penalty).

Maybe it's about the depiction of women. Maybe you want developed female characters free from sexual objectification and the studio is like, "Here's an 18 year old in a tight blouse. Point the camera down her shirt as much as possible." (Or, more likely as it's CE, the studio is vehemently against women being objectified -- like to a point she can't even have nice hair -- while the lead male is a beautiful chiseled 6'4" uber-Chad with several shirtless scenes and a ladder-climbing sequence meant to highlight his ass.)

Could you bring yourself to write or direct something on the other side of the political spectrum, social spectrum, etc.?
