Freaking nose hairs! On an actress no less!

That's so real, it's like... too intimate.

I don't know what you're thinking of but 4K does let you see a lot of detail.

The problem I have with it is when you're just looking at a whole picture, you're not looking for insane detail.

The first time I saw 4K, it felt weird because the moved too realistically.

It was hard to explain, it was just so fluid, it was distracting.

60 fps right? I know exactly what you mean, it moves too fast. 60 fps for games is perfect, but not for movies, that should be 24 fps, no higher than 30

Yeah, it's definitely taking an adjustment to watch old sitcoms on my new TV. Like it suddenly became very apparent they were on a set.

4k is a resolution, it doesn't change how things look in motion. You are probably thinking of motion interpolation which is a setting that generates more frames in a video. And yeah it sucks.

See my above comment. Look for a setting on your TV that adjusts interpolation, it might have some dumb proprietary name like SmoothMotion or something similar. Turn it off and things will look normal.

Yeah. I mean back in the day you could see peach fuzz when the light in a show hits the character's face a certain way, maybe a little arm hair... but something as personal as nose hairs? No technology should have that kind of depth.

When I watch a video on my monitor and then watch the same video on my TV, it actually feels like they move different, like the speed at which the show is presented to me. Don't know if I'm just imagining it but yeah

You probably have smooth motion or whatever your TV calls it turned on, unless you've manually turned it off

Wish I'd know where to find that setting.

I bought a sony tv (have some buyer's remorse, wondering if maybe I should have gone with samsung) and honestly I wish I could turn all features off. All TVs are now "smart TVs" but honestly I just wanted a TV with HDMI ports for my 3 or 4 consoles. I don't care about the fact that it can connect to the internet (turned wifi off) or HDR (turned that shit off immediately) or any of the bloatware features it seems to have.

I disagree, unless it's a very expensive TV

I'd take 1080 hdr over 4k if I had to choose, personally.
