I don't want any spoilers for later on; all I'm aware of is that Abby kills Joel, you play much of the game as Abby, and there's an Abby sex scene

anyway, I just started playing as Abby (about 40 something minutes in the game), and I like her character, so far.

I always cringe when video game characters make out (Ellie and Dina).

anyway, I guess that one kiss from the barnyard dance you see from the commercial happens, but it happens before the events of the game, and you don't see it, but the characters reference it.

but you see them make out about two and a half hours into the game.

there has been some tutorial combat situation stuff, and I know shit is gonna hit the fan, but it feels like the game is going pretty slow so far.

The thing happens a few hours in. Its confirmed (unless you're playing on a harder difficulty...someone playing on normal yesterday hit that point just under three hours). Whats hilarious is that this only came about because Druckmann was butthurt that the ending of the first game wasn't as divisive as he wanted it to be, He wanted people to hate Joel but of course #Joeldidnothingwrong became a thing so he had to correct that.

I will say one thing that has nothing to do with the story or gameplay...the film grain effect kinda annoys me and makes me feel like I'm watching a low-resolution DVD. I tried looking in options to see if I could disable it, but no dice.

It honestly reminds me of pre-release MGS2, lol. I'm pretty sure the trailers showed playable Snake in areas where Raiden actually is.

in the beginning, Joel and Tommy are having a conversation shortly after Joel brings Ellie back to Tommy's compound about how Joel saved Ellie from the Fireflies, and he talks about choosing her over the cure.

but Tommy's like, "I'm not sure if I would have done things different"

so idk.

anyway, now Ellie and Dina are in Seattle trying to open some gate, so I'll probably just put the game down for now.

kinda funny, or maybe not, but before I played the first Last of Us, I read some fake spoilers about Joel dying, so I went through the whole thing expecting him to be killed

Jeez I knew what was about to happen but it was still a gut punch. Joel and Tommy got ambushed, shot, and beaten to death.

People said the spoilers were trash, so far it's been great.

This. Metacritic is shit when it comes to user reviews, lmao. I'd rather have a system that requires you play a few hours of the game before you can make a review. But unfortunately that can only really be done on the console itself and the PS4 doesn't offer written reviews as far as I can tell.

yea, but as long as you sneak up on them as Ellie, you can do a stealth kill with your knife

I also saw one as Abby, but it was during an action scene, so I haven't seen what she does against them
