The fan is probably dusty. Afraid to take it apart

Anyone done this before? I have canned air but it's a lot harder to open than my PC

That's just how PS4s are. Part of the reason the PS5 is so fucking huge.

I cleaned mine out and I can still hear the fan running in the basement from the third floor.

I never liked the slim PS4 design. It looks like one of those styrofoam containers that you get when you go to a BBQ plate sale.

Thankfully, my OG model (you know, the aesthetically presentable one) has been kicking after all these years.

Yeah you need a special screw driver to open it. Can get them on Amazon for $5.

It really isn't a big thing. Just take photos during the process to help keep track of what things were taken apart in what order. Also for every screw you take out, try to arrange them on a table in the same layout their are screwed in...if that makes sense.

I was having the issues and I opened it and cleaned everything out. There are youtubers who have done it, I would suggest you follow one of them.
