So looking at the signs in the museum, some will appear in the fresh water area (river mouth) thats kinda neat

You can buy a nook inc. full-body wet suit for 800 nook miles.

I'm down to two more beetles. Horned Hercules (ran away before) and giraffe stag (never seen)

So I figured out a way to catch the large, fast moving ones, (Gigas giant clam is also the same)
Creep up on it, dont fast swim

The Animal Crossing Villager is fucking strong (this is what Blather says when you donate a Gigas Giant Clam

Gigas giant clams live in warm-water coral reefs and are the biggest bivalves in the world. Growing as wide as six feet and weighing up to 600 pounds, these clams can live to be 100 years old. And yes, these mighty creatures look as though they could eat a swimmer whole. But they eat plankton instead and get valuable nutrients from an algae they live in symbiosis with. Indeed, these enormous gents get all the sustenance they need by lying face up with their shells half-open. If such was my life, i'd be happy as a clam too.

Idk if it's just me, but diving feels like more fun than bug catching or fishing so far.

The spawn rate has been nice, and afaik the things can't escape. Even if you mess up diving timing. (Unlike fishing and those freaking beetles that villagers can even screw up for you...)

Ummm how rare is the cicada shell? I've pretty much caught everything except that and the evening cicada.
