Turns out SDR is far superior while only HDR only has a few advantages.

Guys watch out for those marketing gimmicks; seems HDTV manufacturers are heading down the route of the fraud.

The 2nd video explains the situation alot more better.

What about Dolby Vision?

QUANTUM TV

Same things. It's all over the place, and lacks the 12bit color Dolby says it needs.

I'm going to assume you never saw a good HDR TV in person then if you believe bullshit videos showing 'HDR' examples on a regular-SDR YouTube video on an SDR monitor.

This is like showing examples of color TV on a black and white TV to prove that color TV is not any better than black and white.

This is dumb. These youtube videos are in SDR format, of course they're not going to accurately portray HDR.

HDR content on an actual HDR screen looks great
HDR content on an SDR screen looks gray and bland, in which case you're better off with SDR content.

HDR is amazing. Maybe you would think so too if you actually saw HDR natively

He claims he is a professional calibrator on the subject itself.

I'll give you all the benefit of the doubt and look into it more; I already had something in mind.
