The logos have been "updated" from what they were originally, so the companies have at least acknowledged they were racist as shit, but yet the names have remained.

Nah, it's like when Warner stopped Speedy Gonzalez cartoons from being replayed and Hispanic people started writing to them saying they miss Speedy Gonzalez.

Yep, they'll literally get rid of everything until it's just white people left on packages.

"Nancy Green (March 4, 1834 August 30, 1923) was a storyteller, cook, activist, and the first of several African-American models hired to promote a corporate trademark as "Aunt Jemima".

No idea what's so offensive about Aunt Jemima based on this. Seems to be the exact opposite of anything that should offend.

if you look into her history and how they used her in the ads, and the later women too, Aunt Jemima has always been used to act like a stereotypical servant black woman if not outright slave. she was portrayed as a black lady who only lived to feed white people.

I never knew about any of this until a few days ago. growing up I never noticed any Aunt Jemimia ads on tv. and my only exposure was just her fact on the bottle. I think the worst stuff happened in the 50's and earlier. then they spent decades trying to cover up the racist aspects. but it finally caught up to them

I guess that makes sense then if the ad portrayal was this way.
