One of the scariest parts of someone getting covid, is the prolong effects it has on your body. I was reading a post on reddit today that really opened my eyes. Someone who got covid 4 months ago is still suffering. It's probably one of the most alarming posts I've read.

Soon after the virus i developed chest pain (pericarditis)then joint pain, costochondritis(ribs pain) and leg soarness. If i do any activity as mild as standing up or walking my body hurts. I get waves of very dark fatigues were i feel so sick i cant even talk. As somevody else pointed out in the chat this might be circulatory because i also experience pulsations/bubbly sensation in my body, but mainly legs, and some itching after walking.

I was for 2 or 3 weeks getting better (mainly because i dont move from my bed)but i returned to my home country and that exertion made me go full flare today . My ribs, legs, wrists hurt a lot,my heart area is pinching in pain and i experience a horrible fatigue where i feel im going to die as someone is sucking the life out of me. The pulsations or "bubbly feeling"never have ever been so active before..i feel it a lot in my legs everywhere and in different parts of the body like on my back or belly..i dont know if i should go to the ER bwcause of this..im already going to the inmunologist on thursday and i was planning to ask him for a referral to a vascular surgeon(or something like that)but i dont know if thats too much waiting..

Too many people think you have it and that's it, and it's not that simple for everyone. You hear stories about even fit and healthy people having long lasting effects, it's quite scary.

That's terrifying. I'm been locked down for a little over 3 months now and I was starting to get the itch to go back out, but then I read stories like this, and I don't even want to leave my house.

The virus honestly sounds like something made from a bio weapon. Yes, I know it's not (it came from a strand involving bats), I'm just saying that the after effects sound like something that would come from an engineered weapon.

When I had it, I had a fever for two months. Low fever, mind you. Never over 100.2, typically around 99.5 to 99.8. Slight fatigue throughout and one week at the beginning with worse symptoms.

My wife felt lousy for a lot longer, and her grass pollen allergy is a whole lot worse now. We wonder if that will be permanent.

Do you know how you got the virus? Sometimes I'm curious to see if people can trace back, to when they may have potentially gotten it.

Believe me, it was the topic of much discussion. It most
likely wasnt me because I have my own office and dont meet with the public, so it seems unlikely. One kid in public school, another kid in a private pre-k daycare. My wifes job had her going to multiple schools daily.

Our best guess is younger pre-k kid because he had symptoms first (which lasted less than a day), all the kids in his class were coughing in the week leading up to everything shutting down, but we havent heard about any of his classmates families getting it, so who knows. Also might have been wife, with all those contacts at different schools, but she and I were locked down a week before we had symptoms, and we locked down as soon as younger kid had his half day illness bout.

But is really could have been anyone. Except me, probably. I was extremely cautious since the beginning of February, and we already had been getting our groceries delivered so I dont think Id even been in a store.

Its almost impossible to know for sure. Especially with kids.
