I heard many times how many floors you could drop one off of and have it still work.

Never made sense to me, I always kept my consoles plugged into to TV instead of throwing them out windows, lol.

Sometimes your dad comes home drunk, calls your mom a whore, and throws your gamecube down the stairs. It was nice know that while your mom may be broken, that gamecube is gonna be just fine.

Yeah why carry it down a flight of stairs when you can just toss it out your window and pick it up off the ground.

Nintendo had made alot of durable consoles, well, not nes but SNES and n64 were very durable, the switch and Wii u and Wii? Not so much, the Wiis sensor bars cord was skimpy as hell and the Wii u could get broken and the failure rate of the switch is pretty high, especially the drifting.

I remember there was a youtube video where a dude tied a gamecube to his truck's hitch with a rope and dragged it down his street and it still worked after.

Compared to the handhelds it certainly was. Went through almost 4 DSes just because of the shoulder buttons. I threw my gamecube controller at a wall twice and it still worked.

With those shoulder buttons it's just these tiny springs that get worn out. The springs are like a dollar online, but it's kind of a pain to get to.
