You can definitely feel a gradual improvement but 1 was plenty of fun still, just a bit bare bones compared to the sequels

I haven't played Uncharted since I bought it in anticipation for Uncharted 2, but I remember not liking how many shots it took to kill enemies, and it was annoying how Drake would come to an area and be like, "this place hasn't been explored for years!", and then you find more enemies ahead of you, setting ambushes.

but besides all that, I thought it was a decent game.

I didn't like Uncharted 3, though.

Yep. I was high on the look out for that in uncharted 2 and it never happened. On top of that, the gameplay and story were much better as well

It doesn't have what sets the others apart. It just a generic third person cover shooter. I don't like how spongey/spastic the enemies are, it makes the combat sections too long and the game is 95% combat sections.

Yeah it's literally the same game as the others, kinda ridiculous when they're literally all the same. The only thing I remember about the first is that it seemed like they were still trying to figure out what the series would be, and I remember it turned into a resident evilish bit with undead nazi zombies in a creepy bunker on the island? Something like that?

Also funny, I was just about to make a topic about uncharted, was wondering when they were gonna give us lost legacy for free since I just played uncharted 4 after they put it on ps plus.

The thing with Uncharted 1 is its appeal was very much tied to the time it released. It was the sword flourish of the PS3's early years, sporting dramatic improvements from gen 6 games in terms of phenomenal animations, fancy graphical effects, loads of voice acting, seamless transitions between multiple gameplay modes, loading behind the scenes, etc.

None of it was necessarily brand spankin', and all of it is supercommon today but in the mid-late 00's, doing it all at once was pretty sweet.
