Idk. I enjoyed getting into the game for the beta and playing 5v5 with 9 other people I know and stuff. But eventually I feel a presure. What fun is a game where 80% of the game is about thinking what COULD be there. I respect the intelligence behind it and the skill. I just feel like it's not for me. I wanna hold W and shoot people sometimes. I wanna have fun. But it's like some pro game of hide and seek. Some of my friends I play with, who are intrinsically nice people, get super salty too and it discourages me from playing because I don't want to be a burden. EVEN IN UNRANKED!!!! Like wtf. I tried hard in games 10 years ago when I was 18 but I don't have that drive anymore, and I feel like I'm holding certain people back by not having that drive.

Idk, I feel like people try too hard and miss the point of what a video game is. You're either contributing or not contributing and a combination of the knowledge to constantly guess who could or couldn't be around a corner, and taking random games really seriously, just turn me off.

Honestly outside of MCC the only online games I play these days are co op. Deep Rock Galactic in particular has been very good for me.

Yeah that's what I'm leaning at. I'm primarily a fighting game player. I've played and won Street Fighter tournaments, I play and have played Smash bros Melee competitively, and perhaps this isn't the game/genre for me for various reasons.

Weird, i'd argue a fighting game requires more investment than a shooter game to be good at and people are way more emotional about fighting games than shooters, maybe its like you say, the genre and not the game.

I started playing FGs when I was 18 and I'm almost 30 now so my priorities are different overall with gaming and getting better. FGs just resonate more with me and I like the 1v1 aspect of it. I feel like things in a fighting game are easy to understand because the info is immediately available to you, whereas a shooter like this is hard because a lot of the meta is playing around probability.
