hoard resources and scan everything. if you get stuck storywise, remember that more can be found the deeper you go, work on your tank/vehicles to reach those depths.

that's just the games version of restricting you tutorial wise so you don't venture too far too early. you'll find a way to deal with it.

I heard that game is very hard. it's a survival game I think you can't explore very far when you first start. I tried it once but didn't play it very long. I think the game world is supposed to be massive but in order to see more than a tiny bit outside your pod you have to build up to it with resources and new tools and such.

Start making a map of where landmarks are and where useful resources are located. Literally write them down.

I got really far into the game and could not find my way back to certain areas that I needed to go to progress. So I had to look online where to go. Make your own map so you dont need to do that.

...or you could use the Beacon, an item that lets you put down a marker that shows up on your HUD.

just collect stuff and explore, you'll figure it out. dont try and explore caves yet

A good starting goal is to look for debris from your crashed ship and scan anything you can find

Read the PDA. I know a lot of people don't like going through things like that, but it's a must in this game.

Look at the fabricator.

Make a Scanner Tool.

Youll rage when you have to fit the submarine into tight passageways. If you play on explorer mode I think your can beat the game with the seamoth

Get the mods that let you teleport from base to base and ship stuff from base to base

They require tons of infrastructure and end-game materials, so they aren't game breaking. They make the game a lot more fun to play in the late game where you'll have several bases dotted all over the map, and travel between them becomes a chore.

Also, get the mod that allows you to deconstruct all the random stupid open cargo containers for titanium. Otherwise you'll be swimming down to open cargo containers on the sea floor that you've already checked _all the time._

if you want advice on what to do with minimum spoilers:

build radiation suit and head to ship and scan the 2 underwater vehicles you find in order to get the blueprints to build them. then work towards locating those life pods the radio in your life pod keeps telling you about. There will be broken submarine parts near all the life pods you find and you will need to scan a certain amount of them to unlock the blueprints for deep diving vehicles. Build a compass Then youll have to travel directly south from the ships exhaust. Once you get to something special you dive directly down under it through the coral with the sub then begin to head north around 800m until you can go no further.

Nurse! The fish are talking to me again.

I don't really gets what's going on but I made a bunch of telekentic fish that possibly killed a bunch of aliens happy?

And I guess that's a win.
