The joycons are shit and they feel like Madcatz trash, that controller you never wanted to use playing split screen with friends growing up. If its an old enough model it could be hacked, which will increase it in value once they become rare. Pretty much any Switch made before the summer of 2018 should be compatible, though you should run it through a serial number checker to make sure first.
