That's my ranking for booze.

You can never beat a quality Old Fashioned, Manhatten, Martini, Tommy's Margarita, Corpse Reviver #2, Vieux Carre etc etc.

Drinking spirits neat is a great way to assess the flavour profiles of the drink and by doing this you'll notice how absolutely diverse all these spirits are. There's much difference between Tequilas, Whiskeys, Gin especially, and surprisingly even Vodka

Then Beer. I'm not too big a fan of of beer these days when I'm having a drinking session because I can usually only tolerate one or two before feeling bloated. But they are thirst quenching and easily drinkable without having to worry too much. Also Beer is super diverse so you have a ridiculous amount of options and today there are new breweries popping up all over the joint and pumping out new innovative ideas for beers.

Mixed spirits like a Jack and Coke, Vodka lime soda usually just ruins the booze. I do appreciate a well crafted Gin and Tonic. It's all about the pairing and matching a good tonic water to the gin and using suitable garnish to elevate it.

Wine is the worst. Tastes like a shit, gives you a harsh hangover. I've had bottles of tequila before with no hangover. 3 glasses of wine and I'm fucked.

Guinness and V8 tastes like pure blasphemy. Still got drunk as shit.

Depends on what kind of liquor because there's shit liquor as well. I assume TC is talking about relatively high quality for each category.

Straight rum > rum based mixed drinks > wine=cider

These days I don't really drink anything else.
