Nah I used to say that all the time to noobs in halo 2. Noob After u killed him: wah thus game sucks! Me: just because you suck at the game doesn't mean the game sucks. And they could hear you after getting killed. Don't know if that's still the case or not with today's games as I don't play anymore.

there are games i love or used to love, that I suck at , and that made me sad.
like the Total War strategy series. I tried for years to get good at those games but I never really mastered them. every one in a while I give it another shot and same with Dark Souls. I always wished I could be good at Dark Souls but I am horrible at those games ... Copied to Clipboard!

It hasn't worked on me because I haven't been bad at any games, but it is likely that whoever's telling you that is stupid.
That being said, this is actually fairly common people trying to break into fighting games online. Anyone can go online in most other PVP-heavy genres, like FPS or MOBA games, and win often enough that they feel a degree of competence. Anyone can learn enough to win at those games within minutes of playing, and there are usually teammates to compensate for a skill gap. Fighting games take work to actually learn. You will get crushed immediately and effortlessly, and you won't know why.
