It sounds like she has her own issues with abuse throughout her life and she thinks that trans women cannot relate in the same way. She feels that by equating cis and trans women it diminishes from her experiences of pain.

She clearly cannot understand the experience of being trans, but she still wants to support trans people through their own struggles.
