I never once said that those protesting a month ago couldn't protest. I said their reason was stupid and based on a lie. Their protest was claiming that it was safe to go out which simply wasn't true. Again, I would say risking your own safety to protest brutality is still more important than protesting in front of a building in workout gear to demand your favorite gym open back up...The former are wearing masks, as well. The latter was actively working out, in the heat, No masks, skimpy workout clothes which only increased the chance of spreading shit to one another.

This is what you don't get. I completely support Criminal Justice Reform and look forward to Floyd's murderer of being put behind bars. It's not that I don't support the cause. What I'm against is the blatant lie being presented with a straight face that people are expected to just smile and swallow up even though they know it's a lie.

Again, if you want to argue that the massive amount of casualties that this will cause in coronavirus deaths is worthwhile, then please do so. But you have to own those casualties. Not pretend like people are social distancing and these protests are not going to cause any problems.

No it isn't. Both are allowed. Both were allowed. the double standard is people who were out doing that now saying "we have a curfew for a reason just go inside when they say to!"...just a month ago being forced inside was called "communism" (yea, their choice of word, not mine), but now a curfew is ok, and if you don't agree to it the cops are allowed to beat you until you do? (which many have)....

...You can't compare the two and you really need to stop trying to compare the two. Its like comparing Angioplasty to getting your wisdom teeth removed. Both are important, sure, but one is far more pressing, and if you're in a position we are right now with COVID, you need to prioritize one over the other, the one that involves not wanting to be murdered by cops (which the entire world has shown support of) is far more important than what Trumpers with AKs were doing a month ago.

But even then im not sure why you're bringing up the other protest. This is about a Trump rally. Something that definitely doesn't need to happen.

No, he's saying that necessity can sometimes outweigh concern. You have to go to the grocery store. You can still get COVID there, but its not something this country is set up to completely avoid, yet. But, concerts still got canceled despite that. You wouldn't say "No fair why was the grocery store open but my concert not!?", because logically, you can understand that one is more important and one outweighs the concern. In this case, one protest was about "COVID is a lie/this is communism/its gone" (which isn't really true) vs "Hey, cops...do better". The later of which has been going on for decades. It took YEARS to get to this point, and people just felt like now was the time despite COVID...It took people less than 3 months of lockdown to feel the need to protest.

You're going to disagree with me, which is fine, but holding up signs that says "COVID LOCKDOWNS ARE COMMUNISM!" and working out in front of town hall to demand your gym open back up isn't at all on the same level of decades worth of frustration over police brutality finally boiling over because another person was senselessly killed. and again, either way, this topic is about a Political Rally that will hold no substance....If you can't see the difference then there isn't much more i can say to you.

Congress legit should pass a law banning public office candidate sponsored/funded poltical rallies until Congress, The White House, the State and Town/jurisdiction/etc the rally is being held at have all declared Coronavirus no longer a risk to public health/lift emergency/crisis status.
