Played to the dragon bridge my first time on ps3 and finally playing again. Im further than that, but its really enjoyable.

Didnt think Id love it because it seems to not respect your time based on comments, but its fine. Not overly difficult, you just need to pay attention.

That is my general view of the series. I found it frustrating at times and tried to rush from the bonfire back to my corpse/the boss and sometimes end up getting punished for that by dying to a careless mistake or getting swarmed.

What I like best about the series though is how your attacks feels like there is weight behind it and is something you need to take into account and not attack recklessly.

I just purchased part 3 for my son after I got him into part 1. He skipped 2 because everyone says it wasnt good but I told him that part 2 is the one that I actually played the most. But I like how 3 has all the armor sets.

I know it's not darksouls but I've tried playing bloodborne three separate times and I can't get past the first part. It just keeps kicking my butt and I just get so frustrated I end up deleting it from my hd.

I'm surprised how small the world it. It feels so big when you explore but then you're like"Oh, this shorcut means these two places are right by each other.

part of the reason for that feeling is that level design in dark souls is really vertical, which not a lot of games do

if you look at the game in a 3d map viewer, you can get a much better idea of how things connect

That, poise and how equip load affects your roll. The game becomes far more manageable once you understand these three simple mechanics, but the game does a poor job of explaining them or even hinting at their existence.
