So a few things:

I loved how the first cops were handling things. They were talking to him calming, called him by his name, kinda set up a perimeter for him, didn't escalate things. They allowed him to walk around. Didn't like how they acted after the stun gun but prior to that, it was textbook "Hey this is how police should act"

As for the criminal? He walks up, calls the victim the WRONG name, orders him to the ground, and immediately fire his stun gun.

Even the "nice" cops didn't do anything to stop their bad coworker. They didn't even yell at him

That's what disgusted me. They were perfect before and them immediately dogpiled a man they KNEW to not be aggressive. It was like a light switch for them to react that way.

He was coming down or having drug withdrawals I would assume. The EMT's and cops asked him if he wanted to detox and he said he did. But he didn't want to go in the ambulance. So they were basically talking him into getting in the back or coming down enough to reason with.

Cant say why except hope they dogpile on him to subdue him just in case it escalated and the cop that stunned him decided to use more force

I think I heard them say he was supposed to be going to detox. There was an ambulance there.

The most haunting thing is you can easily hear the cop say in a calming voice "we're here to help you."

I just watched this video and now i came into this topic :'(

You guys have a police brutality problem over there. I really hate seeing all of this, but i guess its needed to be mainstream news for something to change!

How can anyone defend this shit?

I listened to the RadioLab podcast yesterday (https://www.wnycstudios.org/podcasts/radiolab/articles/graham) about police brutality and I kinda understand the pressure and that split decision actions in situations that is hard to judge in the moment, but a lot of this stuff just seems unforgivable! Theres no wonder you're gonna have riots when the upholders of the law act like this.

What? They dogpile him after the thug cop tazers him. Before that he's just walking.

The thug calls him by the wrong name, and immediately tasers him. The whole situation was under control until the criminal escalated it.

You can't be like "Well they did it to subdue him in case of escalation" when the asshole cop started it.

Right, I'm pretty sure they didnt do it out of goodness, which is why I said I hope tthey did it to try and defuse the situation as fast as possible since the cop used the stun gun and might escalate it even further

throw the book at him. Most people are compassionate without pay. Cops receive pay to be compassionate and can't even bother to do it. The way I see it is that a cop who isn't compassionate is abusing U.S. law and abuse of the law is a crime against the nation.
